Church details

Your church’s details are in Account › My church. They’re the ones you entered in the wizard when you created the church, and this is where you keep them up to date.

The My church screen with the church's Identity, Contact and Location sections, with its map, and the Edit button

Select Edit to change the details, which are organized into sections:

  • Identity: the church’s name, legal name, slogan, denomination and founding date.
  • Contact: the official email, the phone numbers and the website. The official email identifies your church across Inperia and can’t be used by another church.
  • Location: the address, city, state or province, country and postal code.
  • Regional settings: the church’s time zone, primary language and currency. Meetings are scheduled in that time zone.
  • Name for cell groups: what your church calls its cell groups, in singular and plural. The app uses that name everywhere.

Besides its address, the church can have a point on the map. In My church, with Edit, there are three ways to set it, and none is required:

  • Search for the address: type the street and pick a suggestion; it fills in the city, the state and the postal code.
  • Drag the pin to the door.
  • Use my location: takes the device’s location, only when you tap it.

Remove location deletes the point and keeps the address. If you change the address and don’t move the pin, the point is removed when you save, because it marked the old one: the form warns you below the map. With the point set, My church shows a small map and Get directions, which opens Google Maps directions to it: Google receives only the destination.

In Church logo, upload your church’s logo as a PNG, SVG, WebP, AVIF or JPG file of up to 2 MB. It shows in the church switcher, at the top of the menu, and in My church.

If you manage more than one church (child churches, for example), each one has its own details. Switch church from the switcher at the top of the menu and edit the one you need. Church network explains how.

The church’s details can be edited by the owner or by anyone with the Edit church information permission.
