Sync and share

In Calendar, the Sync and share button opens two tabs: My calendar, to bring your agenda into your personal calendar, and The church’s, with the public calendars your church shares.

The Sync and share panel with the My calendar and The church's tabs, and the Generate link button

With a subscription link, your meetings and encounters show up on their own in your phone’s or computer’s calendar, and they update when they change.

  1. In My calendar, select Generate link.

  2. Save it right away: for security, the link is shown only once. Use Copy link or Show QR code.

  3. Add it to your calendar by following your app’s steps.

Google Calendar only adds calendars from a computer: open Google Calendar in the browser, select + next to Other calendars, choose From URL and paste the link. After that, it also shows up on your phone.

  • The Meetings and the Encounters of cell groups you can see in Inperia, with their date, time and place. If the place or the house is on the map, they also carry its address and its point, so your phone’s calendar can offer directions. A cancelled meeting still appears, marked as cancelled.
  • Classes from Courses don’t come through: you see them in Inperia’s calendar.
  • With Only my meetings, just the ones you take part in.
  • Notes, follow-ups and contacts never come through.

Changes to these options apply to the same link, without subscribing again.

  • Generate a new link replaces the previous one, which stops working.
  • Revoke link turns it off: subscribed calendars stop receiving your meetings at their next refresh.

Google can take several hours to reflect a change or a cancellation; the iPhone is usually faster. For urgent notices, use Inperia’s notifications.

A public calendar is a part of the agenda that your church publishes so anyone can subscribe, without an Inperia account: the services, the youth meetings, the open events.

  1. In Settings › Public calendars, select New calendar.

  2. Give it a Name (that’s how subscribers will see it) and a Color.

  3. When you schedule a meeting for the whole church, choose that calendar in the form’s Public calendar field.

To share it, the The church’s tab offers the link, a QR code to project or print, and the calendar’s address. It carries the date, time and place of each published meeting, never notes or attendance.

  • A church can have up to 20 public calendars.
  • Only meetings for the whole church with no excluded tags are published. Cell group encounters aren’t published.
  • When you delete a calendar, its link stops working for the people who subscribed.

Managing public calendars requires the Manage the public calendars permission.
