Meetings that repeat
A regular meeting (the Sunday service, the Wednesday study) isn’t entered one date at a time: you schedule it once as a series and Inperia puts every date on the agenda.
Schedule a series
Section titled “Schedule a series”-
In New meeting, fill in the details as you would for any meeting. If your church uses meeting types, the Meeting type you choose applies to every date in the series.
-
Under Repeat, choose one of the quick options or Custom….
-
Save. Inperia creates the meetings in the series up to a year ahead and keeps adding the next ones as time goes by.
The quick options under Repeat are:
- Does not repeat
- Weekly on the same day of the week as the chosen date, for example Sunday
- Monthly on day followed by the chosen date’s day of the month, for example day 15
- Monthly on the first, second, third, fourth or last weekday of the month, for example the first Saturday
A custom series
Section titled “A custom series”With Custom… you set every detail of how it repeats:
- Repeat every 1 to 12 weeks or months.
- For weekly series, one or more Days of the week: for example, Tuesday and Thursday.
- For monthly series, the Day of month or the Position, such as “the last Sunday”.
- Other times on the same day, for a meeting that happens twice on the same day: for example, a service at 10:00 a.m. and another at 6:00 p.m.
- Ends on: leave it blank so it repeats indefinitely.
Edit a meeting in a series
Section titled “Edit a meeting in a series”When you save a change to a meeting that’s part of a series, Inperia asks Which meetings does this change?:
- This meeting only
- This and following meetings
- All meetings in the series
That way you can move a single date (for a special service, for example) without touching the rest.
In a series, the notice is set as a number of days before the meeting: each meeting sends its own notice before it starts.
To create and edit series, you need the Create and edit recurring series permission.
