Goals, month summary and export

From the Growth Plan

At the top of Reports, the Goals for this year card shows what the church has set out to reach and how far it has come:

  • Weekly average: people per week, on average, over the year’s weeks.
  • New people: people who come for the first time during the year.
  • The cell groups that meet: counted when the year closes.

The same goals appear on the Dashboard.

  1. In Reports or on the Dashboard, select Set goals, or Edit goals if there are some already.

  2. Choose the Year: this one or the next.

  3. Enter each goal. Leave a field empty to have no goal for it.

  4. Select Save.

Everyone who sees Reports sees the goals and their progress, whatever their scope: they’re figures for the whole church. Setting and changing them requires the Set the year’s goals permission, which the Pastor role has by default. While there are no goals for the year, the card only appears for whoever can set them.

Month summary puts a month on one page, to read or print: attendance against the previous month and the same month last year, those who arrive and their care, the follow-ups, the cell groups and the year’s goals, if your church has set them.

  • It opens on the previous month. Previous month and Next month move from one month to another.
  • Print gets it ready for paper or to save as a PDF.
  • Each figure counts what you can see, except the goals, which are the whole church’s.

By default, on the 1st of each month at 8, whoever sees Reports gets a notice in the bell: the previous month’s summary is ready. Your church sets the day and time in Notices and deadlines, and you can silence the notice in your profile.

  1. On the Attendance tab, select Export.

  2. Choose the format, Excel or CSV, and select Export.

  3. The file is prepared in the background and downloads when it’s ready.

The file has one row per person for the chosen period: the first and last time they came, the weeks they attended, their absences in a row and the weeks of each month. It includes the people you can see: the members and, if you can export them, your contacts.

Exporting requires the View reports, View members, Export members and View each person’s attendance permissions.
