Get to know the dashboard

What you see in Inperia depends on your role: each person sees only the sections and data their permissions let them see. This guide walks through the app the way a church owner sees it.

Dashboard is the home screen. It sums up the church in blocks that show only what your role lets you see:

  • Your church’s first steps: while your church is getting started, the steps to set it up (review the rungs, decide what each role sees and does, and bring in your congregation), each with the button to its screen. Whoever can take one of them sees them. They check themselves off, the first two also with I’ve reviewed them, and you can close them with their X.
  • My ministry: your rung, your leader, how many people you lead directly and how many there are in your whole branch.
  • Goals for this year: the church’s goals and how far it has come on each, the same ones as in Reports, for whoever sees Reports. Whoever sets the goals has Set goals or Edit goals there; everyone else, View reports. If your plan doesn’t include Reports, the block appears with a lock.
  • Members: how many there are, how many joined in the last 30 days and how they’re spread across the rungs.
  • Congregation: how your people are spread across tags and who has a birthday coming up.
  • Contacts and Growth ladder: the contacts in your care and the promotion requests waiting for your approval.
  • Care: the Need your attention card, with how many people are waiting for you in Care.
  • Account: the plan’s usage, visible to the owner.

Each role can show or hide these blocks: you choose that in Roles and permissions.

A church's Dashboard with the My ministry block, the year's goals and how far along they are, and the Members block, and the section menu on the left

The menu sits on the left, grouped into four blocks:

  • General: the Dashboard, the Calendar and Reports.
  • Community: Members, Contacts, Follow-ups and Care.
  • Activities: Meetings, Cell groups and Courses.
  • Administration: Settings (ladder, roles, fields, tags, meeting types, public calendars, notices and deadlines, and Care) and Account (your church, owners, church network, billing and support access).

Reports and Courses show a lock if your plan doesn’t include them.

Your church’s name is at the top of the menu. If you manage more than one church (child churches, for example), you switch from there with Switch church. At the bottom you’ll find the current plan and Support.

The button next to the page title hides or shows the menu. On a phone, the menu opens from that same button:

The section menu open on a phone, with its General, Community, Activities and Administration groups

When you go back to a screen, you find it as you left it: with its tab, its search, its filters, its sort order, its page and its view. If you left the members filtered by a rung and in cards, that’s how you see them again when you come in from the menu.

  • It’s remembered in this browser, for your account and for each church you manage.
  • When you sign out, it’s forgotten.
  • What opens on top doesn’t come back: a panel, a Care case or the course chosen in the catalog’s route. Nor does the calendar’s date or the month summary’s month, which always open on the present.
  • A link that names a tab or a filter wins: it opens what it says.

On top of that, each list remembers in this browser how you like to see it: table or cards, how many results per page and which columns are shown.

The search box at the top opens the Command palette. You can also open it with Ctrl K (or ⌘ K on Mac). From there you can:

  • go to any section by typing its name;
  • search for people by name among the members and contacts you can see;
  • create something new without hunting for the button: Create member, Create meeting, Create follow-up and more;
  • open the Guide to this screen or the Help Center, under Help;
  • switch church or language.
The Command palette open with the navigation list: Dashboard, Calendar, Reports, Members, Contacts, Follow-ups, Care and Meetings

Sections also have two-key shortcuts, which the palette shows to the right of each one: G then M opens Members, G and R opens Meetings, G and E opens Reports, G and O opens Care, G and U opens Courses, and G and D takes you back to the Dashboard.

The bell at the top right tells you about what needs your attention: a meeting you’ve been called to, a follow-up appointment, a promotion request waiting for your approval, a reply from support, attendance waiting to be taken or someone who came back. Profile and preferences explains how they work.

Your avatar, at the top right, opens the account menu:

  • My profile: your details, your language, your calendar and your security.
  • Set Dark Theme or Set Light Theme: changes the look in this browser.
  • Show the welcome tour: shows the initial tour again.
  • Help Center: opens these guides in a new tab.
  • What’s new in Inperia: what’s new in the version you’re using, in a new tab.
  • Change language: español, português, English or français. It’s saved to your account.
  • Report a problem: lets the Inperia team know if something isn’t working.
  • Sign out.

The ? button next to each screen’s title, Help for this screen, gathers what helps you right there:

  • Guide to this screen: the guide in this Help Center that explains it, opened at the section of the tab you are on.
  • Show this screen’s tour: a short tour, right on that screen, of what you can do there.
  • Help Center: every guide.
  • Report a problem: tells the Inperia team when something isn’t working on that screen.

Each side panel also has its own ?, next to the X that closes it, with that panel’s guide. Guides open in a new tab, so the screen stays as it was. You only see what helps you: if a screen has no tour for your role, the menu doesn’t offer one.
