Read your church's reports

From the Growth Plan

Reports shows how your church is doing over time: how many people come, how many of those who arrive stay, how they’re looked after and how the cell groups are doing. Each figure is calculated from what you can see.

At the top you choose the Period: 3, 6 or 12 months. Reports count full weeks, so the current week comes in once it ends.

In Attendance, the Weekly average is compared with the previous weeks of the same length and with the same weeks a year ago.

  • Weekly average: how many people came per week, over the weeks someone came.
  • Different people: how many came at least once.
  • First time: how many came for the first time.
  • Attendance over time: the people of each week, or the average of each month. Under Show by you choose Week or Month, and your choice is remembered.
  • By kind of meeting: how many people come each week to each meeting type that counts, to encounters and to whole-church meetings with no type.
  • Quick count: the adults, children and visitors counted at meetings. It’s visible to whoever’s scope covers the whole church.

Only what was marked counts: unmarked is not an absence.

The Attendance tab of Reports: the year’s goals, the period, the weekly average against the previous period and attendance over time

What happens to the people who arrive:

  • First visit, Came back, Are members and Contacts converted in the period.
  • The path of those who arrive: of those who came for the first time, how many came back another day, how many got a follow-up in time, how many are in a cell group and how many are members today.
  • Each month of arrivals: of those who arrived each month, how many were still coming 30 and 90 days later. A recent month can’t tell yet.

“In time” means within the Time to contact a visitor your church sets in Configure Care, counted from their first visit: the same time the inbox uses to show a Visitor not contacted. The step names that time, so with the default, 72 hours, it reads Got a follow-up within 3 days.

The Consolidation tab: who came for the first time, who came back, who are members and the path of newcomers
  • Followed up in 60 days and in 90 days: how many active members had a follow-up in that time.
  • Came back and Still in Care: of the people Care listed in the period, how many came back and how many are still there.
  • Follow-ups by month and Coming back after Care, with a follow-up and without one.
  • Leaders: each leader within your scope, with how many people they have in their charge, their follow-ups, the lists taken, the reports pending and their last activity.

This tab reads follow-ups and Care: it shows what you can see of each.

The Care and leaders tab: who had a follow-up within 60 and 90 days, who came back and the follow-ups of each month

The tab carries the name your church gives its cell groups.

  • How many meet, how many Encounters with their list taken there were, the Average per encounter and the Visitors.
  • Ready to multiply: with good attendance at their last encounters and someone ready to lead.
  • Need support: no recent encounters, fewer people, or reports pending.
  • One row per cell group, with its state, its members, its average and the trend of its last 4 encounters against the 4 before.

A report counts as pending once whoever led the encounter is reminded about it, on the timing set in Notices and deadlines.

You see it if you can see cell groups.

The Cell groups tab: how many meet, their encounters, the average per encounter, those ready to multiply and those that need support

By city From the Expansion Plan

Section titled “By city ”

Where the active members within your reach live. Each city appears at its centre, as big as the number of members who live there, and in a table with how many came in the period and the weekly average; tap a city to see its members.

  • Cities with fewer than three people are added up in Others, so the map points at nobody. A person’s home is never marked.
  • The city comes from each member’s record: “Córdoba”, “cordoba” and “Córdoba,” are the same city.
  • The tab also asks to see members’ addresses, because the city is part of the address.
  • A new city takes a few minutes to appear on the map.
The By city tab in Reports: a map with each city at its centre, bigger the more members live there

For the owner of a church with a network: Active members, the weekly average, New people and the cell groups that meet, adding up the churches, and one row per church. They’re only counts: nobody is ever named. It includes child churches and the churches yours covers, up to your plan’s limit.

On the Expansion Plan, Map shows those churches where they are, each as big as its active members.

  • Seeing the reports requires the View reports permission, which the Pastor and Leader roles have by default. Each person sees what’s within their scope: a leader, their branch.
  • The year’s goals, above the tabs, are the exception: they’re figures for the whole church, and everyone who sees Reports sees them, whatever their scope.
  • On the Starter Plan, Reports appears with a lock and a preview.
  • A figure you can’t see doesn’t appear, rather than showing as zero.

The year’s goals, the export and the month summary are explained in Goals, month summary and export.
