Configure the rungs
Rungs are configured in Settings › Growth Ladder, on the Growth ladder rungs tab. You need the Configure the ladder rungs permission.
Create a rung
Section titled “Create a rung”-
Select New rung.
-
Enter the Rung name and, if you like, a Description.
-
Decide whether it May lead others: if you tick it, the people on this rung can lead others.
-
Save.
Drag the rungs to change their order. The order defines the ladder: the rung at the top is the highest stage.
In a rung’s panel, Required courses chooses the courses it asks for, up to 20. When you promote someone to that rung without those courses passed, Inperia warns you, but doesn’t stop you. Courses are explained in Courses: the summary and the catalog.
May lead others
Section titled “May lead others”This option decides who can be someone’s leader, and it doesn’t depend on where the rung sits on the ladder. The Pastor and Leader rungs can always have people in their care, because the church’s tree hangs from them; for the others, you decide.
It also defines who fits where in a cell group: leaders come from the rungs that can have people in their care, and members from the ones that can’t.
System rungs
Section titled “System rungs”Pastor, Leader and Disciple are system rungs: you can change their name, description and appearance, but you can’t delete them. The rungs you create can be deleted as long as nobody is on them.
Each rung’s appearance From the Growth Plan
Section titled “Each rung’s appearance ”Each rung has a Color and a Shape around its members’ photos, in the list, on the cards and in the tree. By default, each one has a combination that’s different from the others.
On paid plans you can choose each rung’s appearance from 20 colors and 14 shapes, with a Preview before you save. If your church goes back to the Starter Plan, the rungs return to their default appearance, but your choice is kept and comes back if you upgrade.
